BIO
In August of 1993 a kid, later to be known as the artist “Fiktitious”, was born and it wasn’t long before both music and sampling took hold of him, though initially by way of video games. It was a game on the Playstation simply entitled “Music” that sucked him in and filled his life with both a new love and a passion. Not only was it like an early platform for sampling but he found the freedom and lack of limits or rules within the game to be liberating and that it all caused an itch in his brain that nothing else could quite scratch. It was then that he discovered his love not only for creating but to share his creations with others.
It was as a teenager that he began to really immerse himself in an active relationship with music while listening to it. It started with classic hard rock like Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin to harder rock and metal like one of his favorite bands, In Flames. All of these bands had something in common that kept him listening and looking for more– they were melodic, but they were also heavy. Then he was snagged by Pendulum– then Skrillex. Then, somewhere along the line his taste in music largely switched over to Heavy Dubstep and Colour Bass rather than primarily rock and metal. In his early twenties he was very sick for about three and a half years, so his love for music and production took on a more serious role than just a hobby or a passion. It was a means of escape.
Fiktitious found and was drawn to SYNC Records through a friend of his who had already signed onto our label. He was intrigued primarily by the label’s focus on the artists we sign as well as the creative freedom given to each and every one of them. He would love to have his music played by big artists at big shows, but more than anything he would love to connect with the public through his music and to hopefully create something that they can not only enjoy but also experience on a personal level. Be on the lookout for future releases by this promising new artist because, though he may be Fiktitious, he’s one of the realest ones around.
