The newest single from Fiktitious is here, and man is it a hard-hitter. Deep, punchy, and full of color – the man never fails to deliver. Like its namesake, this track is both mesmerizing and gravitational. If you haven’t heard it yet, please come back to this and read it later. Don’t worry – we’ll wait. ARTIST INTERVIEW
Fiktitious, my man, you’ve done it again. Was there anything that really made this track click for you? Either some inspiration or just a new texture or sound?
"It sounds simple but I designed some pads which were used in the intro. Those were then used in the main drop as a vocoder/convolution response for bass textures and this is what clicked everything together for me as the same eerie feeling was brought forward throughout the track."
You’re like some sort of horror/sci-fi director. You always seem to know how to nail that eerie, creepy thing. Did you already have an image in mind as far as theme or tone or did the void image just sort of come together alongside the track?
"I wanted to create something using a bass I designed a few years ago for a track I made called 'The Void'. That track is only on my Soundcloud page. So in a way, Into The Void is like a sequel! Who knows, maybe there will be a part 3?"
See! You’re already making sequels and threequels. Do you have any new projects in the works or in the near future that you're excited about?
"I have more tracks in the works. I posted a small snippet on my TikTok and Instagram recently. Also, I have a free sample pack coming which has basses, synths, pads, and more."
Thanks for the heads up! I may have to snag that sample pack once it hits the shelves. On an unrelated note, I’ve been meaning to ask you, have you been playing any new games lately?
"Replaying Spiderman on PC currently, I mean, what a game right?"
Oh man, you aren’t kidding. I’ve played it like three times now on Playstation. Me and
Spidey go way back.

something resonates (nice sound design pun there) with just one person – that, to me, is
